Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. Falls are preventable! A Matter of Balance program is a free, OAA grant-funded, evidence-based, fall prevention program designed to reduce falls and increase activity levels. The program consists of two-hour classes, twice a week for four weeks. All participants must attend the first class and be willing to attend the next six of the 8 classes. Workbooks will be provided. Starting on the third day of the program, there will be 45 minutes of light exercises to increase balance and reduce falls.
