Children's Programs for February 10-16, 2018


LEGO League: (Ages 3-12) Saturday, February 10, 12:00-4:00 pm. Bring your friends and join us for creative building with LEGOs.

Toddler Story Time: (Ages 18 months to 3 years) Monday, February 12, 10:30 am. Young ones will be introduced to language and literature as they listen to stories, sing songs, and do finger plays.

Homework Help: (Grades 1-8) Monday, February 12. Bright Futures Scholarship students will be at the library to assist students who are struggling with their homework. There is no Homework Help during school breaks. Sign up at the Youth Services Desk when you arrive. 

CoderDojo: (Ages 7-17) Monday, February 12, 5:30 pm. Learn how to code; develop websites, apps, and games; and explore technology in an informal and creative environment. This class is led by local software professionals. Please bring a laptop. CoderKids in grade 5 and under must also bring a participating parent. Online registration required at www.shcoderdojo.com.

Preschool Arts and Crafts: (Ages 2-5 years) Tuesday, February 13, 10:30 am. Create crafts with foamies. All supplies provided. Registration required.

Preschool Story Time: (Ages 2-5 years) Wednesday, February 14, 10:30 am. Preschoolers will develop listening and early literacy skills while participating in story time with books, songs, and dance.

Beginners’ Robotics for Homeschoolers: (Ages 10-17) Wednesday, February 14, 10:00 am-12:00 pm. Mentors and pre-qualified students work together on special robotics projects. Registration required.

Intermediate Robotics for Homeschoolers: (Ages 10-17) Wednesday, February 14, 1:00-3:00 pm. Mentors and pre-qualified students who have successfully completed our beginner program work together on special robotics projects. Registration required.

Children’s Movie
: (Ages 12 and under) Wednesday, February 14, 3:30 pm. Watch My Little Pony (PG, 2017). Snacks and drinks provided.

Beginners’ Robotics: (Ages 10-17) Thursday, February 15, 4:30-6:00 pm. Mentors and pre-qualified students work together on robotics projects. Registration required.

Intermediate Robotics: (Ages 10-17) Thursday, February 15, 6:15-7:45 pm. Mentors and pre-qualified students who have successfully completed our beginner program work together on special robotics projects. Registration required.

Baby & Me
: (Ages 18 months and under) Friday, February 16, 10:00 am. Enjoy special time with your baby while you listen to stories, sing songs, and learn finger plays, followed by a play session.
