Sand Bags

In preparation for the storm, the City will distribute pre-filled sandbags on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the Public Works Yard (1200 Railroad Ave) from 3:30PM until 6:30PM (or until supplies last).

City of Safety Harbor residents only; please, bring ID or utility bill.

Stay in your vehicle once inside Public Works Complex.

Last vehicle to be loaded must be through the gate by event end time.

Please follow the instructions on the map.

Maximum of 10 bags for City residents only; bring ID or utility bill for verification.

Thursday Recycling Collection Suspended

With storm force winds expected to arrive no later than early morning, Thursday (9/26), per the latest National Hurricane Center information; recycling collection will be suspended on Thursday (9/26). If your normal recycling day is on Thursday (9/26), secure your items near your house or under cover.

The City’s recycling processor has not made a determination regarding opening their facility on Friday (9/27). Please keep your eye on the City’s website and social media accounts for further updates regarding Friday (9/27) recycling pick-up.

Recycling collection will resume the normal schedule the following week, Thursday, Oct. 3rd or Friday, Oct. 4th.
