Celebrate May - Asian American Pacific Islander Month, Public Service Week, Public Works Week

May is a Month for Celebration!

Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month

May 1, 2023, kicked off Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month - a month long celebration of Asians and Pacific Islanders in the United States and their many contributions.

Public Service Recognition Week

May 7 - 13, 2023, is Public Service Recognition Week. It's a time set aside to honor those who serve our nation as federal, state, county, and local government employees. Throughout the nation and the world, public servants use this occasion to educate others about the work they do and why they have chosen public service careers, as well as the many ways government services make life better for all of us.

Public Works Week

May 21 - 27, 2023, we celebrate National Public Works Week. This week is a chance to energize and educate the public on the importance of public works to their daily lives: planning, building, managing and operating at the heart of their local communities to improve everyday quality of life.
