October is going to be a busy month at your Safety Harbor Public Library! Here are some upcoming events.
Youth (Ages 0-18) - Youth Fall Reading continues through November for ages 5 - 18! Sign up now at safetyharborlibrary.beanstack.org and get ready to read for prizes. Kids can read to specially trained dogs during Pawsome Readers on October 1 and learn about bats during Super Heroes - Super Bats on October 15. Tweens (ages 9-12) will play Halloween Minute to Win It on October 4 and battle it out during Halloween Cupcake Wars on October 25 while teens (ages 13-18) can whip up some Pumpkin Pie Twists at the library on October 5 and learn about tarot during a Tarot Reading Seminar with Pumpkin Witch and Sage on October 26.
Adults - Nan Colton returns on October 6 with Living in the Sunshine, a tourist's tales of travel in 1920s Florida, while local author Laura Kepner debuts her new book Images of America: Safety Harbor on October 11. The Friends of the Library will host a Karaoke Night @ the Library on October 13. Jazz on the Waterfront is also back! Join us on October 28 at Safety Harbor Waterfront Park for a free concert. This month's Saturday Movie Matinee is Interview with the Vampire (R, 1994), on October 29.
SHINE volunteer counselors through the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco & Pinellas, Inc. provide free, unbiased one-on-one insurance counseling and information on Medicare options and prescription drug assistance for elders, their families, and caregivers.
