September 2022 Newsletter

We’re just buzzing with activities this September! Take a look at some of this month's upcoming events.

Youth (Ages 0-18) - Youth Fall Reading starts September 12 for ages 5 - 18! Sign up now at safetyharborlibrary.beanstack.org and get ready to read for prizes. Celebrate author Eric Carle and his colorful books at our Eric Carle Story Time Party on September 21 and see a live beehive during Let’s Learn About Bees on September 24. Tweens can Tie Dye in the Art Park on September 17 and complete a Tween Painting of a raccoon at the library on September 28 while teens can join the Botanical Club to learn about plants on September 8 and decorate Fairy Houses on September 28.

Adults - Join us for a Cinematic Guitar Poetry concert with Hiroya Tsukamoto on September 3, shop the Friends of the Library Book Sale on September 10, discover the Buzz about the Bees with the Pinellas Beekeepers Association on September 15, and strum along with the Tampa Bay Ukulele Society during Ukulele Jam Night on September 21. This month's Saturday Movie Matinee is Another Earth (PG-13, 2011), on September 24.

Handmade Book Club

In this new program, participants will create handmade books while following video instructions from Vintage Page Designs. Some materials will be provided. For more information, please call Outreach Services at (727) 724-1525, ext. 4107.
