July 2022 Newsletter

The possibilities continue in July! Here are some exciting events happening this month at your Safety Harbor Public Library.

Youth (Ages 0-18) - Summer reading continues through July 30! Sign up at safetyharborlibrary.beanstack.org, receive prizes for 12 and 24 hours read, and be entered into a grand prize drawing for 24 hours read. Kids (ages 0-8) are invited to an Octopus Story Time Party on July 20 and a Pawsome Readers event with therapy dogs on July 23. Tweens (ages 9-12) interested in D&D can learn the basics and create their own character at a Tween D&D Workshop on July 9 and build a Beach Terrarium on July 19. Teens (ages 13-18) can create an ocean landscape Happy Little Painting on July 2 and sample seaweed with a Seaweed Taste Test Challenge Take Home Kit, available July 26 - 30.

Adults - Adult summer reading also continues through July 30! Complete reading and community challenges to be entered into biweekly prize drawings and a grand prize drawing for a $200 Visa gift card. Register now at safetyharborlibrary.beanstack.org or pick up a paper copy at the library. Join the Florida Aquarium on July 21 for Gators!, a presentation featuring a live alligator, or enjoy an ukulele jam night with the Tampa Bay Ukulele Society on July 26. This month's Saturday Movie Matinee is Cast Away (PG-13, 2000), on July 23.
