It's June and the start of a summer full of possibilities! Take a look at some of the great programs and events your Safety Harbor Public Library has planned.
Youth (Ages 0-18) - Summer reading for all ages starts June 6! Sign up at safetyharborlibrary.beanstack.org, receive prizes for 12 and 24 hours read, and be entered into a grand prize drawing for 24 hours read. Enjoy a different Terrific Tuesday program each week starting June 7 and build something cool during LEGO League on June 17 and 24. Tweens can paint a rainbow heart on June 7 and create a culinary masterpiece during Ocean Cupcake Wars on June 21. Teens can check out the inaugural meeting of the Teen-Led Botanical Club on June 9 and take home an Ocean Gummy Taste Test Challenge kit June 10 -18.
Adults - Adults can get in on the summer reading fun, too! Starting June 6, complete reading and community challenges to be entered into biweekly prize drawings and a grand prize drawing for a $200 Visa gift card. Register now at safetyharborlibrary.beanstack.org. You can also welcome summer at an ukulele sing along on June 8, learn about cooking finfish and shellfish during Seafood 101 with Chef Warren Caterson on June 16, and take in some summer sounds during The Sounds of Steel, a calypso and steel drum performance, on June 30. This month's Saturday Movie Matinee is Jaws (PG, 1975).
