May flowers are blooming! Here's a sample of what your Safety Harbor Public Library has planned for this month.

Youth (Ages 0-18) - Summer reading pre-registration for ages 5-18 begins May 1! Sign up today and read throughout the summer to earn great prizes. Join Great Explorations and get creative on May 2 for Art Out of the Box, learn a few Spanish words during our bilingual/Spanish story time on May 7, and sing along with Miss Jenipher and her ukulele in the Art Park on May 14. Tweens (ages 9-12) and teens (ages 13-18) can pick up a Star Wars take home kit May 3-7 for intergalactic fun.

Adults - Our annual Non-Profit Volunteer Fair returns May 12 - come meet with over 25 local organizations and learn about volunteering opportunities. Words & Wine Book Club will discuss Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid on May 16 and Books & Bagels Book Club will discuss Harlem Shuffle by Colson Whitehead on May 17. This month's Saturday Movie Matinee is Wild, starring Reese Witherspoon (R, 2014).

Career Online High School

Safety Harbor Public Library participates in the Career Online High School (COHS) program. This program offers adults (19 and older) the opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma and career certificate online. The library’s program offers a limited number of scholarships to qualified adult learners who are looking to advance their careers, prepare for workforce entry, and continue their education.
