Please join us for some exciting events at your Safety Harbor Public Library as we near the end of 2021!

Youth (Ages 0 - 18): November is the last full month for Youth Fall Reading - register at safetyharborlibrary.beanstack.org and stop by the library for prizes when you complete 6 and 12 hours! Bring the whole family for a ukulele sing-a-long on November 3, join the teen-led book club on November 1 and 15 (ages 13-18), or paint a beach snowman on November 30 (ages 9-12).

Adults: Bring a plant to swap at the Fall Plant Exchange on November 6, enjoy Jazz on the Waterfront on November 12, pick up some new reads at the Friends of the Library Book Sale on November 13, or create your own corn husk doll at CrAfterWork on November 18 (register here).

Fall Plant Exchange: Saturday, November 6 from 10am-12pm. Meet other gardeners under the Elf Tree (in the Art Park behind the library) to share information and swap plants. To participate, bring in one plant (or many), labeled and with planting information, in a container you are willing to give away.

Fall Plant Exchange

The Safety Harbor Public Library is hosting a Fall Plant Exchange on Saturday, November 6, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm under the Elf Tree in the Art Park behind the library. Meet other gardeners, share information, and swap plants. Each plant you bring gives you the opportunity to exchange it for something new.

To participate, bring one plant (or many), in a container you are willing to give away. Label your plants with name, light, soil requirements, and any unique characteristics.  

Jazz on the Waterfront - Free Concert

Safety Harbor Public Library invites you to a free concert featuring Voices of Jazz, a twenty-two-piece band featuring big band jazz and modern arrangements of popular tunes, at Safety Harbor Waterfront Park, Friday, November 12, 2021, 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
 
Founded in 2007, Voices of Jazz is a local, all-volunteer community band, with a passion for performing music from the big band era of the 1930's and 40's and incorporating modern songs by popular artists including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Isaac Hayes, Chicago, Lee Greenwood and Nat King and Natalie Cole.
 
Beverages and food trucks will be available with proceeds benefiting the Safety Harbor Library Foundation’s Let’s Build a Story capital campaign. Please bring your own lawn chairs. Arrive early for the best seat and to enjoy your food and drink.

Book Sale - Saturday, November 13, 9am to 3pm.

Literary Yard Sale

The Friends of the Safety Harbor Public Library are holding a book sale on Saturday, November 13, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, outside under the Baranoff Oak. If inclement weather, the sale will move indoors. All genres of books in good condition will be available, plus DVDs, music CDs, and more. Most items cost $1.00 with all proceeds benefiting library programs.

The Friends are always looking for fresh ideas and new friends to support fundraising efforts. All funds raised are used directly for library programs and initiatives. For applications and more information, visit www.FriendsSafetyHarborLibrary.org.
