Beanstack

Beanstack is a free online service that offers an innovative new way to connect children and their families with books and educational reading activities that match each person’s interests, age, and reading level. It also includes book and activity logging, badges, and registration for all members of the family under one account. Simply register one time to participate in library sponsored reading programs and activities all year round!

How Do I Start?

To get the most out of your reading experience, we recommend that you create a Beanstack account. Parents can also create accounts for their children. In Beanstack, you can view the available activities, enter the books you have read, write book reviews and more. You will receive prizes as you progress and be entered into drawings at the end of the program.

To register, visit the Beanstack website or login through the app. Beanstack app available for iOS and Android

Beanstack will automatically direct you to the appropriate activities based on your age.  There are five age groups: preschool, children, tween, teens, and adult.  In order to be contacted about prizes and drawings, please include an email address and telephone number as part of your Beanstack profile.

Children Winter Reading 2022-23

Children's Winter Reading 2022-23, for kids age 5-8, is open December 5 to February 18. Log the minutes you read to earn badges and rewards! Read up to 12 hours to be entered into the drawing for the grand prize. Visit the library to collect your prizes after earning your rewards at 6 and 12 hours read. The last day to collect any prizes for this challenge is February 25!

Tween Winter Reading 2022-23

Tween Winter Reading 2022-23, for tweens age 9-12, is open December 5 to February 18. Log the minutes you read to earn badges and rewards! Read up to 12 hours to be entered into the drawing for the grand prize. Visit the library to collect your prizes after earning your rewards at 6 and 12 hours read. The last day to collect any prizes for this challenge is February 25!

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

The 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program for ages 0-5 is an ongoing program that encourages you to spend time sharing books with your little ones while building critical early literacy skills before he or she starts school. Earn badges along the way to a special completion prize. Start your child’s journey today. It's never too early to start your little one on the road to reading!

Teen 100 Books Before Graduation

100 Books Before Graduation, for teens age 13-18, is an ongoing reading program. Log books read in Beanstack to earn a new set of badges. Every 10 books read, come to the library for a prize.
