Beanstack

Beanstack is a free online service that offers an innovative new way to connect children and their families with books and educational reading activities that match each person’s interests, age, and reading level. It also includes book and activity logging, badges, and registration for all members of the family under one account. Simply register one time to participate in library sponsored reading programs and activities all year round!

How Do I Start?

To get the most out of your reading experience, we recommend that you create a Beanstack account. Parents can also create accounts for their children. In Beanstack, you can view the available activities, enter the books you have read, write book reviews and more. You will receive prizes as you progress and be entered into drawings at the end of the program.

To register, visit the Beanstack website or login through the app. Beanstack app available for iOS and Android

Beanstack will automatically direct you to the appropriate activities based on your age.  There are five age groups: preschool, children, tween, teens, and adult.  In order to be contacted about prizes and drawings, please include an email address and telephone number as part of your Beanstack profile.

Childrens Summer Reading


Children's Summer Reading 2022: Oceans of Possibilities, for kids age 5-8, is open June 6 to July 31. Log the minutes you read to earn badges and rewards. Visit the children's desk at the library to collect your prizes after earning your rewards at 12 and 24 hours read. At 24 hours read, you will be entered into a raffle for the Grand Prize, a new children's bike and helmet! 

Tween Summer Reading


Tween Summer Reading 2022: Oceans of Possibilities, for tweens age 9-12, is open June 6 to July 30. Log the minutes you read to earn badges and rewards. Visit the children's desk at the library to collect your prizes after earning your rewards at 12 and 24 hours read. At 24 hours read, you will be entered into a raffle for the Grand Prize, which includes a $100 Visa gift card and Tampa Bay Rowdies tickets! 

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

It's never too early to start your little one on the road to reading! The 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program encourages you to spend time sharing books with your little ones while building critical early literacy skills before he or she starts school. Earn badges along the way to a special completion prize. Start your child’s journey today.

Teen Summer Reading 2022: Oceans of Possibilities, for teens age 13-18, is open June 6 to July 30. Log the minutes you read to earn badges and rewards. Visit the children's desk at the library to collect your prizes after earning your rewards at 12 and 24 hours read. At 24 hours read, you will be entered into a raffle for the grand prize bag, which includes a $100 Visa gift card, Tampa Bay Rowdies tickets, and a $25 American Eagle gift card.

Adult Summer Reading

Adult Summer Reading 2022: Oceans of Possibilities, for adults age 18+, is open June 6 to July 30. An ocean of possibilities awaits you this summer at your Safety Harbor Public Library! Explore your library and your community, read books and magazines, stream films, write book reviews, and much more. Each badge earned counts as an entry in 4 biweekly drawings, as well as a grand prize drawing in July.
