Career Online High School
Safety Harbor Public Library is offering qualified community members an opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma and credentialed career certificate through Career Online High School, a program brought to you by the Florida State Library and Gale, part of Cengage Learning. Career Online High School is designed to reengage adults into the education system and prepare for entry into post-secondary education or the workforce.
Safety Harbor and local residents who are unable to get to the library due to COVID-19 concerns, illness, disability, or injury maybe eligible for this program. Library Home Delivery patrons can call to request information or ask for specific materials to be delivered. All library materials will be checked-out to a PPLC library card, delivered to your door, and picked up for return by a library representative.
To register for Home Delivery, complete the online home delivery application or call 727-724-1525 x4107.
Pen Pals Unite
SHPL staff would like to inspire hope and decrease feelings of isolation in our community during these unsettled times. Staff writers would love to exchange cards and letters filled with inspiration, quotations, interesting articles, poetry, funnies or simply a kind hello to homebound local residents to brighten their day. Participants are welcome to write back or can participate by simply receiving inspirational cards or letters and can remain completely anonymous if they choose.
A registration questionnaire form is required to enroll in the program. Letters will be sent to participants at least once a month. Start or stop letters anytime by contacting Outreach Services by email email@example.com or call 727-724-1525 x4107.
