Kids Night Out at the Museum
Explore the Museum after hours! We'll curate dinner, unearth arti-crafts. play games, watch a movie and more! Dinner and refreshments provided.

Wine Glass Painting
Join us for a fun night of painting holiday-themed wine glasses! Bring your favorite bottle of wine, snacks and create your own one of a kind glass! Class includes a wine glass, paints, brushes, instructor assistance, and care instructions for your glass. If you would like to bring your own glass to paint on we will only charge you $13 for the class!

Safety Harbor Florida Stories Kick Off Party
The Safety Harbor Public Library in partnership with the Safety Harbor Museum of Regional History, Safety Harbor Chamber of Commerce, Friends of the Library, and Safety Harbor Library Foundation was awarded a grant from the FL Humanities Council for Florida Stories, a walking tour app.   This free downloadable app supports the creation of cultural, historical and architectural walking tours for communities across the state allowing users to learn the history of some of Florida’s most unique towns. Join us to celebrate the kick off of Florida Stories in Safety Harbor.

Parent/Child Canvas Painting
Each participant will receive their own canvas to create a collaborative piece of art that can be hung together or individually. Monthly themes are fall leaves, pumpkin patch, thankful for you, and winter wonderland. Please wear painting attire. All materials included. Register only the child. Parent participation required.

FPAN Archaeology Works: Materials Science
Presented by the Florida Public Archaeology Network…Explore ancient artifacts from stone tools to pottery under a microscope just like an archaeologist! You'll get to see what aspects of these materials we, as archaeologists, focus on to get information about past technologies, and what aspects of Native American life we can learn about by studying the materials people left behind.

FPAN Presents: People and the Night Sky
For Native Floridians, the night sky was very important for navigational, religious, and historical reasons. Over time, the sky has changed and so has the way people relate to it. Learn about how astronomical and cultural changes have affected the importance of the night sky to people today.

Seagrass Monitoring Program: Pinellas County
Seagrass is important to the marine environment because it provides food, shelter and breeding grounds for many species of invertebrates, fish, birds and marine mammals. Pinellas County monitors its seagrass for health and abundance. This presentation will introduce the various types of seagrass in Pinellas County and what the County does to monitor and protect them

Rising Stars Talent Showcase
Rising Stars Talent Showcase is for high school teens that have a passion to perform in the following categories: Citizenship / Leadership, Academic Achievement, Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Scholar Athlete. Application packet will print with receipt and must be submitted with all auditioning materials by 12/1/18. Rising Star Talent Showcase performance and award ceremony will be held 2/1/19 at the Safety Harbor Elementary School Auditorium. Tickets $5/person. Tickets will go on sale in January 2019.

Adopt-a-Pond Program: Pinellas County
Stormwater ponds provide several very important functions: flood control, stormwater water treatment, and essential habitat that is lost in the development process. The Pinellas County Adopt-A-Pond program helps citizens manage their stormwater ponds through education and assistance with clean-ups and native plants. This presentation will introduce attendees to the various types of stormwater ponds, the regulations involved with their maintenance and some management tools available to homeowners

Amaze yourself and others! Create your own masterpiece start to finish in this beginner's acrylic painting class. We all paint the same thing; most often FL Landscapes. No materials or experience required! IMI (Incredible Me Incorporated) workshops are lighthearted step-by-step lessons in the basics of painting Fine Art.

Art Fun-damentals For Adults

Homeschool Fine Art 
Basic drawing for beginning and intermediate art students. Lessons take place in the Museum and Plein-Air (Outdoors). Techniques include charcoal and graphite. Students should bring 4B graphite pencil, med. charcoal pencils and an 18X24 drawing pad (med. weight) to first class session.

Fishing Clinic With Captain Dave 
Are you interested in learning how to catch the big one? Captain Dave is here to teach you how! This hands-on clinic will teach you the techniques of fishing inshore and offshore, along with cast netting. Fishing tackle and supplies provided.
