Saturday, September 7

  • FOL Book Sale: (All ages) 9:30 am-3:00 pm
  • LEGO League: (Ages 3-12) 12:00-4:00 pm. Bring your friends and join us for creative building with LEGOS.
  • Teen D&D Club-Waterdeep Dragon Heist Campaign: (Grades 6-12) 12:30-3:30 pm. A vast treasure is hidden inside the sprawling metropolis of Waterdeep: If you can out-wit the city's most influential figures, the treasure is yours for the taking. Sunday, September 8

  • Pawsome Readers- Beginning Reading Program: (Ages 8 and under) 2:00-3:00 pm. Early readers can improve their skills by reading to trained therapy dogs. Earn a certificate and a sticker!

Monday, September 9

  • Story Tots: (Ages 19 months to 4 years) 10:30-11:15 am. Young ones will develop early literacy skills as they participate in an interactive story time.

Tuesday, September 10

  • Little Explorers: Explore on the Go: (Ages 4 and under) Tuesday, September 10, 10:30-11:15 am. 30 minutes of a playful learning class followed by 15 minutes of social play. Register at events.safetyharborlibrary.org
  • Teen Oreo Taste Test Challenge: (Grades 6-12) 4:45-5:00 pm. Drop by the Teen Zone and see if you can guess this month's Oreo flavor for a prize. While supplies last.

Wednesday, September 11

  • Story Tots: (Ages 19 months to 4 years) 10:30-11:15 am. Young ones will develop early literacy skills as they participate in an interactive story time.
  • CoderDojo: (Ages 7-17) 5:30 pm. Learn to create your own games with beginning-advanced Scratch or develop your own website with beginning-advanced HTML and beginning-advanced JavaScript. Please bring a laptop. CoderKids in grade 5 and under must have a parent in the room. Online registration required at www.shcoderdojo.com.

Thursday, September 12

  • Toddler Sign Language: (Ages 12-24 months) 10:00 am. Our fun and interactive signing classes will teach you how to include signs naturally while interacting with your child through daily routines, play time, story time and music.
  • Baby Sign Language: (Ages 0-3) 10:30 am. Baby Sign Language classes will teach you how to sign with your baby from as early as 6 months old! Our fun and interactive signing classes teach you how to include signs naturally while interacting with your baby through daily routines, playtime, story time and music.
  • Sunshine State Battle Prep: (Grades 3-5)  3:30-4:30 pm. Prepare for the Battle of the Books with a discussion, sample questions, and snacks. Our first book will be Wedgie and Gizmo by Suzanne Selfors. Register at events.safetyharborlibrary.org

Friday, September, 13

  • Mikey and Jo Kid Shows: (Ages 1-5) 10:30-11:30 am. Interactive fun for you and your little one with song, dance, instruments, and live guitar! 75 free tickets will be given out on a first come first served basis, starting a half hour before the show.
  • College Application and Personal Statement Workshop: (Grades 11-12) 3:30-4:30 pm. During this workshop, students will learn about navigating the college search and financial aid, filling out applications, and writing a compelling personal statement. This workshop will be most helpful for students who are interested in applying to competitive universities. Recommended materials: pen, pencil, highlighter, laptop or notebook.   • SAT Workshop: (Grades 9-12) 4:45-6:45 pm. What is a good SAT score? This workshop will help ambitious students set target scores and develop strategies needed to achieve their personal college goals. It will also offer an introduction to the core concepts and critical thinking skills tested on the SAT. Recommended materials: past PSAT or SAT scores, pen, pencil, highlighter, notebook, and graphing calculator. Register at events.safetyharborlibrary.org
