Children's Programs: April 14-20, 2018


LEGO League: (Ages 3-12) Saturday, April 14, 12:00-4:00 pm. Bring your friends and join us for creative building with LEGOs.

Paws for Friendship: (Ages 8 and under) Sunday, April 15, 2:00 pm. Kids can improve their reading skills and earn a certificate and a sticker by reading a book to a trained therapy dog. We usually have two or three doggies to read too! 

Toddler Story Time: (Ages 18 months to 3 years) Monday, April 16,10:30 am. Young ones will be introduced to language and literature as they listen to stories, sing songs, and do finger plays.

CoderDojo: (Ages 7-17) Monday, April,16, 5:30 pm. Learn how to code; develop websites, apps, and games; and explore technology in an informal and creative environment. This class is led by local software professionals. Please bring a laptop. CoderKids in grade 5 and under must also bring a participating parent. Online registration required at www.shcoderdojo.com.

Preschool Story Yoga: (Ages 2-5 years) Tuesday, April 17, 10:30 am. Enjoy fun animal and nature poses, partner games, songs, interactive stories, and relaxation! Please bring a mat or towel and wear stretchy clothes.

Eric Carle Story Time: (Ages 5 and under) Wednesday, April 18, 10:30 am. Celebrate the works of Eric Carle with stories, songs, crafts, and games. 

Beginners’ Robotics: (Ages 10-17) Thursday, April 19, 4:30-6:00 pm. Mentors and pre-qualified students work together on robotics projects. Registration required.

Intermediate Robotics: (Ages 10-17) Thursday, April 19, 6:15-7:45 pm. Mentors and pre-qualified students who have successfully completed our beginner program work together on special robotics projects. Registration required.

Children’s Photography: (Grades 3-5) Thursday, April 19, 3:30-4:45 pm. We will explore the world through a lens! Taking pictures can be fun and offer insight into the amazing world we live in. Sharon Joller, a photographer, will provide instruction on basic camera operation, the history of photography, subject matter, lighting, and how to critique their work through writing sample. 

Baby & Me: (Ages 18 months and under) Friday, April 20, 10:00 am. Enjoy special time with your baby while you listen to stories, sing songs, and learn finger plays, followed by a play session.
