Upcoming Children's Programs: February 3-9, 2018


LEGO League: (Ages 3-12) Saturday, February 3, 12:00-4:00 pm. Bring your friends and join us for creative building with LEGOs.

Farmer Minor Story Time: (Ages 5 & under) Monday, February 12, 10:30 am. Join Ms. Debbie and special guests, Farmer Minor, Daisy, and the pugs, for a fun “Pig Out on Reading” Story Time.

Homework Help: (Grades 1-8) Monday, February 5, 3:00-6:00 pm. Bright Futures Scholarship students will be at the library to assist students who are struggling with their homework. There is no Homework Help during school breaks. Sign up at the Youth Services Desk when you arrive. 

CoderDojo: (Ages 7-17) Monday, February 5, 5:30 pm. Learn how to code; develop websites, apps, and games; and explore technology in an informal and creative environment. This class is led by local software professionals. Please bring a laptop. CoderKids in grade 5 and under must also bring a participating parent. Online registration required at www.shcoderdojo.com.

Pokémon Club: (Ages 5-12) Tuesday, February 6, 4:30-5:30 pm.  Join us for fun with all things Pokémon! There will be a Pokémon-related activity each month. Don’t forget to bring your cards for some friendly trading. 

Preschool Story Time: (Ages 2-5 years) Wednesday, February 7, 10:30 am. Preschoolers will develop listening and early literacy skills while participating in story time with books, songs, and dance.

Beginners’ Robotics for Homeschoolers:
(Ages 10-17) Wednesday, February 7,10:00 am-12:00 pm. Mentors and pre-qualified students work together on special robotics projects. Registration required. 

Intermediate Robotics for Homeschoolers: (Ages 10-17) Wednesday, February 7, 1:00-3:00 pm. Mentors and pre-qualified students who have successfully completed our beginner program work together on special robotics projects. Registration required.

Paw-some Readers Program:  (Ages 8 and under) Thursday, February 8, 3:30 pm. Practice your reading with specially trained therapy dog Oliver.

Beginners’ Robotics: (Ages 10-17) Thursday, February 8, 4:30-6:00 pm. Mentors and pre-qualified students work together on robotics projects. Registration required.

Intermediate Robotics:
(Ages 10-17) Thursday, February 8, 6:15-7:45 pm. Mentors and pre-qualified students who have successfully completed our beginner program work together on special robotics projects. Registration required.

Baby & Me: (Ages 18 months and under) Friday, February 9, 10:00 am. Enjoy special time with your baby while you listen to stories, sing songs, and learn finger plays, followed by a play session.
