Bay Area Rock Art Exhibit on Display Now!

Now through February 28. the Safety Harbor Museum and Cultural Center will have beautiful Rock Art on display. These works of art come from various local artists throughout the bay area. We also have a free raffle that all visitors can put their name in for to be entered to win a unique rock work of art. Our hours at the Museum are Tuesday-Thursday 11am-4pm and Saturday 10am-2pm.  We also have three events that will coincide with this exhibit:
Make & Take Crafts | Thu 2/1 | 6-7pm | Ages: 3-6 (Parent Participation encouraged!) | $5/person

Family Fun Night | Tue 2/20 | 6-7pm | All Ages | $5/person

Bay Area Rock Artist Reception | Fri 2/16 | 6-7:30pm | All Ages | Free

Charcoal Drawing and Painting Classes for Adults Start Friday

Create your own masterpiece in our first Painting with IMI class of the new year! Follow along with step by step instruction and by the end of the class you will have a completed and beautiful oil painting. All materials are included, and seniors are eligible for scholarships (contact Museum at 727-724-1562 for details). This class takes place on Friday, January 19th from 3-5pm and is open to adults. The cost is $25 per person.

Have you ever wanted to learn the techniques that make charcoal artists more successful at creating their beautiful works? Sign up for our Charcoal Drawing class that takes place this Saturday, January 20 from 10:30-12:30pm. The cost is $25 per person and the class is open to ages 16 and up.
