Upcoming Children's Programs for January 20-26, 2018

LEGO League: (Ages 3-12) Saturday, January 20, 12:00-4:00 pm. Bring your friends and join us for creative building with LEGOs.

Paws for Friendship: (Ages 8 and under) Sunday, January 21, 2:00 pm. Improve your reading skills and earn a certificate and a sticker by reading a book to a trained therapy dog. 

Toddler Story Time: (Ages 18 months to 3 years) Monday, January 22,10:30 am. Young ones will be introduced to language and literature as they listen to stories, sing songs, and do finger plays.

Homework Help: (Grades 1-8) Monday, January 22, 3:00-6:00 pm.  Bright Futures Scholarship students will be at the library to assist students who are struggling with their homework. There is no Homework Help during school breaks. Sign up at the Youth Services Desk when you arrive. 

CoderDojo: (Ages 7-17) Monday, January 22, 5:30 pm. Learn how to code; develop websites, apps, and games; and explore technology in an informal and creative environment. This class is led by local software professionals. Please bring a laptop. CoderKids in grade 5 and under must also bring a participating parent. Online registration required at www.shcoderdojo.com.

Wee Discoveries: (Ages 5 and under) Tuesday, January 23, 11:00 am. Play with age-appropriate discovery stations designed to encourage creativity in learning with STEM goals in mind. Adult participation required. 

Tween Craft-Shrinky Dinks: (Ages 9-12) Tuesday, January 23, 5:30 pm. Come be creative and make your own Shrinky Dinks. All supplies provided. Registration required.

Preschool Story Time: (Ages 2-5 years) Wednesday, January 24, 10:30 am. Preschoolers will develop listening and early literacy skills while participating in story time with books, songs, and dance.

Baby & Me: (Ages 18 months and under) Friday, January 26, 10:00 am. Enjoy special time with your baby while you listen to stories, sing songs, and learn finger plays, followed by a play session.
