Upcoming Children's Programs for October 14-20, 2017


Family Candy Bingo: (All ages) Saturday, October 14, 10:30-11:30 am. Play bingo with the whole family and win prizes!

LEGO League: (Ages 3-12) Saturday, October 14, 12:00-4:00 pm. Bring your friends and join us for creative building with LEGOs.
 
Paws for Friendship: Sunday, October 15, 2:00 pm. Practice your reading with specially trained therapy dogs. 

Toddler Story Time: (Ages 18 months to 3 years) Monday, October 16, 10:30 am. Young ones will be introduced to language and literature as they listen to stories, sing songs, and do finger plays.

Homework Help: (Grades 1-8) Monday, October 16, 3:00-6:00 pm.  Bright Futures Scholarship students will be at the library to assist students who are struggling with their homework. There is no Homework Help during school breaks. Sign up at the Youth Services Desk when you arrive. 

CoderDojo: (Ages 7-17) Monday, October 16, 5:30 pm. Learn how to code; develop websites, apps, and games; and explore technology in an informal and creative environment. This class is led by local software professionals. Please bring a laptop. CoderKids in grade 5 and under must also bring a participating parent. Online registration required at www.shcoderdojo.com.

Preschool Story Yoga: (Ages 2-5 years) Tuesday, October 17, 10:30 am. Enjoy fun animal and nature poses, partner games, songs, interactive stories, and relaxation! Please bring a mat or towel and wear stretchy clothes.

Tuesday Crafternoon: (Ages 4-10) Tuesday, October 17, 3:30 pm. Join us as we paint pumpkins. All supplies provided. Registration required.

Tween Book Tasting: (Ages 9-12) Tuesday, October 17, 5:30 p.m. Sample some of our books to see which genre best fits your taste. Restaurant atmosphere and snacks included. Registration required.

Beginners’ Robotics for Homeschoolers: (Ages 10-17) Wednesday, October 18, 10:00 am-12:00 pm. Mentors and pre-qualified students work together on special robotics projects. This class is for pre-registered students.

Preschool Story Time: (Ages 2-5 years) Wednesday, October 18, 10:30 am.  Preschoolers will develop listening and early literacy skills while participating in story time with books, songs, and dance.

Baby & Me: (Ages 18 months and under) Friday, October 20, 10:00 am. Enjoy special time with your baby while you listen to stories, sing songs, and learn finger plays, followed by a play session.
