Upcoming Children's Programs for October 7-13, 2017

LEGO League: (Ages 3-12) Saturday, October 7, 12:00-4:00 pm. Bring your friends and join us for creative building with LEGOs.

Toddler Story Time: (Ages 18 months to 3 years) Monday, October 9. 10:30 am. Young ones will be introduced to language and literature as they listen to stories, sing songs, and do finger plays.

Homework Help: (Grades 1-8) Monday, October 9, 3:00-6:00 pm. Bright Futures Scholarship students will be at the library to assist students who are struggling with their homework. There is no Homework Help during school breaks. Sign up at the Youth Services Desk when you arrive. 

CoderDojo: (Ages 7-17) Monday, October 9, 5:30 pm. Learn how to code; develop websites, apps, and games; and explore technology in an informal and creative environment. This class is led by local software professionals. Please bring a laptop. CoderKids in grade 5 and under must also bring a participating parent. Online registration required at www.shcoderdojo.com.

Preschool Arts and Crafts: (Ages 2-5 years) Tuesday, October 10, 10:30 am. Create your own interactive story time props. All supplies provided. Registration required.
 
Stories and Art: (Grades 2-5) Tuesday, October 10, 4:00 pm. Have fun learning about famous artists and creating art in their style. Registration required. 

Beginners’ Robotics for Homeschoolers: (Ages 10-17) Wednesday, October 11, 10:00 am-12:00 pm. Mentors and pre-qualified students work together on special robotics projects. This class is for pre-registered students.

Preschool Story Time: (Ages 2-5 years) Wednesday, October 11, 10:30 am.  Preschoolers will develop listening and early literacy skills while participating in story time with books, songs, and dance.

Tween Craft-Spider Slime: (Ages 9-12) Wednesday, October 11, 5:30 pm. Make spider slime with us. All supplies provided. Registration required

Intermediate Robotics: (Ages 10-17) Thursday, October 12, 6:15-7:45 pm. Students who have successfully completed our beginners’ program work on more complicated projects with the aid of our mentors. This class is for pre-registered students. 

Baby & Me: (Ages 18 months and under) Friday, October 13, 10:00 am. Enjoy special time with your baby while you listen to stories, sing songs, and learn finger plays, followed by a play session.
