Public Art is springing up around Safety Harbor

Another piece of public art was just installed at City Hall on the wall facing 8th Ave South. Artist Heather Richardson created this piece of mosaic art titled 'Flock of Ibis' which has found a home among the trees and gives tons of color to its otherwise plain wall. Safety Harbor Public Library receives donation of PBS Multimedia Library Corner

WEDU PBS announced the Safety Harbor Public Library will be the recipient of one of four multi-media library corners the public broadcasting station will donate to area public libraries. These donations were made possible by long time viewer, Phyllis L. Ensign, who gave PBS a $4 million dollar gift in 2015.

The library corners will include a bookshelf with a collection of PBS Kids books, DVDs, and CDs for the library’s lending collection and will include a reading rug, two electronic tablets loaded with PBS apps, a collection of activity sessions with educational materials, take-home materials including a family resource guide, activity sheets, bookmarks, pencils, and more.

April is National Poetry Month

The Safety Harbor Public Library is celebrating National Poetry Month with two events that get our creative juices flowing and encourage you to work on your own poetry.

City Galleries Update

It's almost April which means we have new art in our City Galleries at the Museum and Cultural Center, City Hall and the Library. The Museum and Library will be featuring the art group TESA at each of their locations through the month of April.
