Creative Conversations

Join us on Thursday, April 21st from 6-7pm for our Proposal Workshop which will help you get your Public Art proposal started. We will be sharing the process for requirements, funding and selection when trying to sell and distribute your own art.

Then on Monday, June 27th artists will have 3 minutes to present their ideas and concepts for the 16/17 fiscal year. The audience is encouraged to vote for their favorite ideas that they would like to see brought to Safety Harbor.

Key Lime Pie Fiesta

Fiesta guests will be entertained with Florida Style music by local musician, TJ Weger and be treated to Key Lime Pie tastings. Beer and wine will be available for a donation. Cash prizes will be awarded for the Key Lime Pies; first place - $100.00, second place - $75.00, third place - $50.00. Decisions made by honorary judges are final.

Pies must be dropped off at the Safety Harbor Public Library with a completed entry form between 3:00 and 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 14. There is a limit of two pies per person. Entrants can win one cash prize level only. Entry forms can be found here.

Mindful Movement with Teresa Tapp

In this workshop, you’ll learn aerobic movements that can be done virtually anywhere to look fit and fabulous in 15 minutes and how T-Tapp uses body alignment and leverage isometrics to create full activation of the muscles.

Tampa Bay Ukulele Workshop

Learn all about different ukulele sizes, how to hold, tune, strum, and play a few chords. TBUS musicians will teach attendees two songs and provide information for continued education including information on local teachers. TBUS events and online resources will also be presented.

7th Annual Poetry Celebration

Kicking off the event will be a Poets’ Mingle, where guests are invited to relax and enjoy refreshments while listening to guitarist Zach Kepner. An open mic will round out the evening with readings from local poets, featuring Poet Laureate of St. Petersburg Helen Pruitt Wallace.
