Here comes Fall! Please enjoy an eventful September with your Safety Harbor Public Library.
Youth (ages 5-18): Youth Fall Reading starts September 13 with prizes at 6 and 12 hours of reading, plus a grand prize drawing for 12 hours; Register now at safetyharborlibrary.beanstack.org. Tweens and teens can grow their own mushrooms at home on September 7 while our younger patrons can enjoy singing and dancing fun with Mikey and Jo Kid Shows on September 15 or a Flamingo take-home art project on the September 20. For older teens thinking about college, there will be a virtual workshop on Personal Statements and Applications September 25.
Adults: The Friends of the Library are holding a book sale on September 11 from 9am-3pm. All proceeds benefit your library! Veteran Charlie Grebinger shares a two-part story about war and love during the Vietnam conflict on September 2 and 9, the Deaf Literacy Center is offering American Sign Language classes, free and open to anyone, starting September 13, and author Gabi Justice presents writing workshop, "How to Write a Gripping First Page", on September 30. This month's Saturday Movie Matinee is Wild Rose, showing on September 18.
