Ballot Drop Off

Saturday, August 8- Monday, August 17

SHPL is a ballot drop off site. Virtual meeting through Zoom. Meets the third Tuesday of each month. August’s title is Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger. Limited copies of the book are available at the library.

One Book, One Community

The Safety Harbor Public Library announces a One Book, One Community read featuring the New York Times Bestseller and National Book Award Winner, Between the World and Me, by Ta-Nehisi Coates. Copies of the book are available at the library and can be placed on hold if checked out to others. Best of the Bay

Once again, the Safety Harbor Public Library is in the running for Best Public Library Branch under Goods & Services. You can vote daily until Sept 3.

Votes for Women

The next time you're at the library take a look at our special exhibit exploring the centennial of women's suffrage in the U.S. "Votes for Women: A Portrait of Persistence" is a compelling exploration of the women's suffrage movement and its relevance to Americans' lives today. The poster exhibit is brought to you courtesy of the Smithsonian American Women's History Initiative.

Mobile Printing

Mobile printing through the Princh app is now available at the Safety Harbor Public Library. Patrons can print from their mobile device or laptop, inside or outside the library, and pay for print jobs in advance via credit card or PayPal.

Curbside Pick-Up

Curbside pickup is available. Call us at 727-724-1525 x4112 when you arrive at the library and we’ll bring your hold items out to your car. Please have your photo ID ready.

Tool Library

10:00am - 5:30pm Wednesday through Friday, and 10:00am - 4:00pm on Saturday. All you need to borrow tools from SHPL is a PPLC library card. Tools must be reserved online through the catalog at least one day prior to the day that you would like them, and they can be picked up during our open hours.

Career Online High School

Safety Harbor Public Library participates in the Career Online High School (COHS) program. This program offers adults (19 and older) the opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma and career certificate online. The library’s program offers a limited number of scholarships to qualified adult learners who are looking to advance their careers, prepare for workforce entry, and continue their education. Home Delivery Service

For Safety Harbor residents who are unable to get to the library due to illness, disability, or injury. Books, DVDs, audiobooks, and music CDs will be delivered and picked up for return by a library representative. Call 727-724-1525 x4107.
