Get Outdoors for Park and Recreation Month!
SAFETY HARBOR, FL – The National Recreation and Park Association celebrates July as Park and Recreation Month, with the goal to raise awareness of the essential services that park and recreation professionals provide to communities across the U.S. This year, our staff and volunteers are working hard to keep us fit with summer camps and programs. Some of our July Summer Camps include, but are not limited to the following: All Sports, Archery, Flag Football, Lacrosse, Skate, Street Hockey, Kayak Expedition, Stand Up Paddleboard Expedition, Ninja Warriors, Birds & Butterflies, and Nature Photography. On July 11 from 9-11am, join us for “Bug-A-Thon,” our theme for the monthly Explore, Discover, Grow program out at Folly Farm. Also join us on July 18th for the Safety Harbor Live History & Marker Tour, starting at the Museum & Cultural Center at 10:30am. Another event you may want to get in on is Olympic Fun on July 29th at Daisy Douglas Park, starting at 3:30pm. Those aged 5-17 can come out and compete in their favorite Olympic games!
