Watercolor Wonders
Techniques of watercolor painting to experience the magic and versatility of the medium. We will stimulate the imagination and invite creativity. All levels welcome. Be sure to pick up your supply list.

Tuesdays 1/10-5/23 | 1-3pm | Ages: Adults | $60/person (for a 4 week session)

Zen Brush Art
Come discover the art of Zen Brush painting. Learn what kind of brush, ink, paper and technique to use. Drop in for $16 or pay for the monthly fee of $64.

Watercolor with Carol Zieres
Explore the techniques of watercolor painting, while we inspire your creativity and imagination to turn a photograph with beautiful scenery into your own masterpiece. All levels welcome. Be sure to pick up your supply list.

Painting with Pikasso
Come out and paint with us at Practically Pikasso! We will guide you through the process with step by step instruction, as you paint your own masterpiece! Bring a friend or make a new one, while painting and sipping on your favorite beverage! Snacks and beverages welcome!

Intuitive Painting with Saori Murphy
Students will be encouraged to challenge their resistance, fear, and inner critic as they strive to discover their own authentic voice. In addition to one-on-one support by the instructor, each class will end with a brief "open circle" discussion for group sharing. All levels are welcome. Supplies provided. (Note: This class is for expressing and nurturing your creative, authentic self. This is not a techniques and critiques class.) No Class on 2/14.

Improv Afterschool

This program teaches students to explore their imagination and build self-confidence while involving their senses and their voice with movement and space. By the end of the program they will create a script and a scene from the techniques they’ve learned and their own ideas.

Collage Creations
In this class, we will create compositions on paper using a variety of textured material and mediums. No previous art experience required. This is a lively, creative class with plenty of room for experimentation. Pick up your supply list.

Drawing Basics for Teens
Basic drawing for beginning and intermediate art students. Lessons take place in the Museum and Plein-Air (Outdoors). Techniques include charcoal, graphite, and ink. Students should bring vine charcoal and an 18X24” drawing pad to first class session.

Thursdays 1/12-4/20 | 6-7:30pm | Ages: 13-18 | $60/person (based on a 4 week session)

Homeschool Photo Stories
Learn photo basics and explore the world through a camera lens. Looking around at our local city for inspiration, we will explore the question: How has it changed in 100 years? Take photos, view videos on types of photography, and more. Parents are welcome to join in or drop off. 35 MM digital camera required.

Woodcarving
Learn the fascinating art of wood carving, including relief, in the round, and chip carving. Additional material fees of $10 paid directly to the instructor. No class on 2/3, 4/14.

Homeschool Green Thumbs
Interested in learning more about plants and our ecosystem? We will look at different plants, everything from plants to florals. Learn how simple container gardening can enrich your home and life. Parents are welcome to join in or drop off.

AHA School's Day Out
Days include art projects, a history tour, a field trip, and fun outside games. Be sure to pack a lunch and wear sneakers. Must come into Museum to register for this program.

Natural Florida
Come join Art Finn, Safety Harbor's Arborist, to learn about Florida's best flowering trees! This is the time of year to consider selecting and caring for our greatest natural assets, our trees! Art will share his expertise and knowledge to help you make your yard the best natural habitat and environment in your neighborhood!

FPAN Presents Engineers and Seafarers: Archaeology of the Tocobaga at the Safety Harbor Site
First visited by archaeologists in 1880, the Safety Harbor site was once home to the capital city of the Tocobaga people. Although many of the features of this ancient village were destroyed over the years, clues to the lives of the Tocobaga still remain beneath the surface. Learn about some of the amazing finds at this site, as well as what they reveal about the history of the area, as we celebrate some of the earliest residents of Safety Harbor.

Trip Back in Time
You’ll experience a PowerPoint presentation of over 350 pictures and illustrations, as you’re entertained with tales of Tocobaga Indians, pirates, ancient burial mounds, 6,000 year old artifacts, Spanish Conquistadors, pioneers, grapefruit, segregation, hurricanes, fires, “Whisky Harbor,” stories of healing from our history-drenched five mineral springs, celebrities, the mob, Ghosts, Swamp Apes, UFOs and so much more.

Using Historical Maps in Your Genealogy Research

This talk covers the ways different historical maps can be used in your research, as well as the many digital and paper sources for these maps, how to locate the map you need, and the possible information about your ancestors it might contain.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun

Join us for a night of sparkly fingernails, dazzling makeup fun, crafts and a lite dinner! You will have a chance to show off your singing abilities and favorite dance moves! Come in your favorite dress for a night out with your best friend or to meet a new one!

Mom & Me Clay Party

Join us for our 1st mom and me clay party at the Museum! Enjoy a morning out with mom while learning how to mold and create works of art out of clay! Clay will be fired at Practically Pikasso on Main Street and picked up a week later. Dress for a mess!

Craft Party
Join us for a fun night of crafting, contests and creativity with your friends and family. We will have everything you need to express yourself and create fun works of art to take home. Fun will be had by all!
